Biology Logo

This is one of four science field logos I made for a facebook T-shirt contest.

The idea of this and the other three field logos is that there doesn't seem to be any specific logo or simple image for fields of science to identify with. So my goal was trying to draw "Astronomy" or "Geology" into a image simple enough to be on a shirt but recognizable enough so most people can understand it, thus these.

Biology is probably my 2nd field of choice behind Astronomy because it really makes you appreciate the complexity of life and helps you even understand yourself better. This logo I remade more then any other simply cause I kept second guessing my opinion on the first image that pops into my head when someone says Biology. My first design was cells in Mitosis (splitting) but I had to take into consideration the relate ability to the public so people don't think its just a blob lol. So then I came up with an idea of making dividing cells looks like a flower petal shape and kinda hit the "Biology" look from two angles....the downside to this one is unless fairly open minded I'm not sure how many guys would wear a flower on a shirt :/
